Father Robert T. Hand
A Funeral Mass for Father Robert T. Hand will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 11 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Savannah. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
Father Hand, 80, a retired priest of the Catholic Diocese of Savannah, died January 17 in Warren, Michigan.
Ordained to the priesthood at St. James Church in Savannah in 1997, Father Hand served as parochial vicar of Blessed Sacrament Church in Savannah from 1997-2003 and parochial vicar of St. Peter the Apostle Church in Savannah from 2003-2005. He lived in retirement at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Columbus from 2007 to 2010, then retired to Gaylord, Michigan.
